EPA Environmental Performance Track
EPA ENVIRONMENTAL Performance Track was a public/private partnership recognizing top environmental performance among participating U.S. facilities of all types, sizes, and complexity, public and private. In 2004, there were 5 Forever Resorts properties accepted into Performance Track and by 2005 there were an additional 14 Forever Resorts acquiring this recognition.
Environmental Protection Agency Performance Track rewarded facilities with recognition that voluntarily exceed regulatory requirements, implement systems for improving environmental management; work with their communities, and set three-year goals for improvements in environmental performance. Performance Track recognized these companies as environmental leaders because they delivered environmental results beyond what was expected or required. Only facilities with a record of sustained compliance with environmental requirements were eligible to participate in the program.
By 2005, 19 Forever Resorts locations were awarded membership into the EPA National Environmental Performance Track program. Those properties included: Callville Bay Marina, Cottonwood Cove Marina and Black Canyon/Willow Beach River Adventures in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, NV - the first marinas in the U.S. and the first three properties in Nevada to receive Performance Track; Trail Ridge Store in Rocky Mountain National Park, and the Rocky Mountain Park Holiday Inn of Estes Park, CO - became the first hospitality/retail operation in Colorado to receive Performance Track; Signal Mountain Lodge in Grand Teton National Park, WY was the second national park unit in Wyoming to receive Performance Track recognition; Additional Forever Resorts properties that achieved recognition at that time were: Lake Crescent Lodge, Hurricane Ridge and Fairholme Store in Olympic National Park, WA; Chisos Mountains Lodge in Big Bend National Park, TX; Marina at Lake Meredith in Lake Meredith National Recreation Area; TX; Cedar Pass Lodge in Badlands National Park, SD; Mammoth Cave Hotel in Mammoth Cave National Park, KY; Trinity Lake Resorts, CA; Delta Houseboat Rentals, CA; Lake Don Pedro Marina, CA; Moccasin Point Marina, CA; Southfork Ranch & Southfork Hotel, TX.

2010 GOLD LEVEL RECOGNITION AS COLORADO ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERS
Two of Forever Resorts properties have been recognized by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment when they recently received acknowledgement as Gold Level Environmental Leaders: TrendZ at the Park retail store and Rocky Mountain Park Inn located in Estes Park. The two operations have maintained this achievement since 2004.
The Environmental Leadership Program recognizes companies, municipalities and organizations performing above the existing regulatory structure. Leadership members must have a comprehensive and operational environmental management system and pollution prevention plan that contains goals and milestones to achieve continual environmental improvement. The Gold Level in this program is the highest environmental recognition award given by the State of Colorado.
The Rocky Mountain Park Inn was the first lodging and hospitality operation to achieve this recognition in the State of Colorado. There are currently only three hospitality organizations involved in the Gold Level Environmental Leadership program in Colorado.
All Forever Resort properties nationwide are committed to support state-level environmental leadership programs as they become available. Watch this area as new properties are accepted into state programs.
