Temple Bar Marina Announces Plans for 2nd Annual Temple Bar Days

Temple Bar Days is an annual event produced by Forever Resorts and the Temple Bar Trailer Village Association to celebrate the natural beauty of Temple Bar and the surrounding areas of Lake Mead.
"Our first event was great, but this year will be even bigger and better", promised Mark Schoffstall, General Manager of Temple Bar Marina. "We plan to use the same general structure as last year, with Friday set aside for our Eco-Dive and Community Clean-up, Saturday is our big BBQ on the Beach, and Sunday we'll have our Chili Contest and Salsa Showdown. It will just all be expanded with new events and more fun."
New events this year will include a Kids' Fishing Tournament on Saturday, Games Night, a Poker Run on the lake, a Salsa Showdown with the Chili Contest, live music and lots more; something for everyone.
May 1: Eco-Dive & Community Clean-up, Arrive by 9:30 a.m. for registration. Divers must bring their dive cards. Lunch provided for all participants. Games Night.
May 2: Poker Run. Registration begins at 9:00a.m.
BBQ on the Beach. Festivities begin at approximately 10a.m.
Water Taxi service to the BBQ will be provided for those who don't have a boat. Kids' Fishing Tournament at the BBQ and Games Night.
May 3: Chili Contest & Salsa Showdown. Entries must be in the judging area by 11a.m.
The Eco-Dive & Community Clean-up is a volunteer and free event. Participation in the other events and contests requires a one-time entry fee of $20.00 until April 30 or $25.00 on the day of the event.
Temple Bar Marina is on the Arizona shoreline of Lake Mead, 28 miles east of Highway 93. From Las Vegas, cross Hoover Dam and continue out into the desert until you pass mile marker 19. Turn left at the Temple Bar turnoff.
From Kingman, head North on Hwy 93 until you pass mile marker 20 and then turn right at the Temple Bar turnoff.
